Hey there, thanks for stopping by.
I’m Steven.
I believe that finding someone to give you a good haircut is hard to find. I also believe that finding a good haircut shouldn’t be stressful, and actually be a relaxing experience.
To be honest…I never really had a good haircut experience before I started doing hair myself. My goal is to give others the hair-cutting experience I wished I had received when I was younger.
If there’s one complaint I hear more than most, it’s that a lot of barbers tend to focus on learning only one technique of haircutting versus combining multiple skills to create more diverse styles.
Since becoming a professional I have worked in multiple high end barbershops and salons from Honolulu to Los Angeles learning the ins and outs of clipper, scissor and razor cutting. I have always loved the way that hair enhances someones personality. Hairstyles are a way to be expressive of your character, profession, or lifestyle.
As a kid I would constantly experiment with my hair in my mom’s bathroom using a cheap comb and scissors. My hair was usually dyed half blonde or brown and really really spiky. I was an angsty teenager that carried a guitar around school and played in a band. I was super introverted. My hair was everything to me because it spoke for me and reflected my personality at the time.
Now-a-days, I go to the gym a few times a week and train in Muay Thai. I have a knack for photography and my camera is basically an extension of my body, as it goes everywhere that I go. I watch MMA over any sport, love RPG style video games, food and cooking, music, and watching anime.
I still am an introvert and homebody by heart. I can read the room and respect when customers want to be quiet and relax during a service, but I also enjoy listening to your stories and talking about our interests!
